I finally did it!

I beat all the levels in candy crush! Just kidding, that’s not really what this is about and I only beat the levels available on the iOS version!

I’ve been thinking about the 21 day challenge and shakeology for a while from beachbody. A couple girls at work were doing it and encouraged me to do it with them, so I signed up right away.
I am so glad that I did! I am loving the shakeology, it keeps me full throughout the morning and I love expermenting with different recipes. My favorite so far is a strawberry colada.
And who can argue with these results!

I was so impressed with this program that I decided to become a beachbody coach! You can email me at nicholekoch@hotmail.com to find out more about signing up for a challenge group!

Stitch Fix

Have you heard of stitch fix?  You can sign up to get a fix in the mail that’s been hand picked by your own personal stylist!  This was my 2nd fix, I requested some things for an upcoming weekend getaway with my husband.

I love these Kut from the Kloth jeans!  They are Sooo comfy!  I usually buy long jeans but these are extra long!  The gray shirt was comfy but not something I was willing to pay $48 for 😳

I really like this Dolman top that I received this time!  It pairs great with jeans and I really love the fit! Plus my sisters liked it when I put it on 😊

I also received this jacket which is a little too short for me and the arms feel a little too tight.

And last but not least!  My most favorite part of this stitch fix!  I am absolutely in love with this dress!  The color, the fit, the fabric is all perfect!!  I will definitely be keeping this!

If you’d like to try your own stitch fix use the referral link below!  When you sign up to receive a fix I will get a credit.

Ain’t Nobody Got Time for That: Laundry

Ain’t nobody got time for that: Laundry
You know that great feeling you get from successfully catching up on laundry? No? Me either!! Occasionally I try to convince myself it’s all caught up by not emptying the dryer, which only leads to the wet clothes in the washer sitting too long and beginning to smell. This does help buy some time though since I have to run the washer again.

I will admit there is constantly a ginormous pile of clean laundry on my dining room table. If you’ve ever been to my house and haven’t seen said pile, I obviously knew you were coming and had time to prepare/hide it behind my closed bedroom door.

I don’t need to be putting all my dirty laundry on the internet so here is my clean laundry.

Some mornings when I’ve spent 10 minutes digging through “the pile” for a pair of socks for all 3 kids I think, “I have GOT to do something about this tonight.” Then tonight comes and I’ve usually lost all motivation. Some days I do have some motivation, but so does the 2 year old. He’s such a great helper!

I
Some days I even think we need to find or start a nudist colony where laundry doesn’t exist!

My sister made a New Year’s Resolution to do one load of laundry every day. I think in my case we create at least 2 loads of laundry every day! That’s if I load the washer, which my husband will insist is overloaded. I will continue to insist he is under loading it though.

I’m sure I am not alone in the laundry battle.

Sometimes When I Open My Mouth My Mother Comes Out…

Mother_Mouth

  • I hope someday you have kids just like you!
      • I love my kids but some days they drive me absolutely crazy!  Sometimes I cringe to myself when I hear this come out of my mouth! Guess who is gonna be babysitting their kids some day?  Hopefully me, so if their children could be slightly calmer I’d really appreciate it!  My 6 year old has assured me many times that he will always make sure they are happy and let them have whatever they want.  I need to get this on video to show his kids someday.  I think my Mom got what she wished for, my daughter is my mini me in almost every way.
  • Hold your head still!
      • I know many times my mom would say this while yanking a brush through my hair while I’d complain that she was too rough.  I’m sure I was holding way more still than my 8 year old daughter does when I’m trying to brush the knots out of her hair….
  • Wear your pants where they belong!
      • In recent years I have come to despise the ever popular low-rise jeans, the only muffin top I wanna see is from one I can eat, which is probably why I need high waisted mom pants.  My 8 year old daughter who refuses to even pick out her own clothes every morning (yet whines about half the stuff I set out for her) has already become a low rise fan.  In my defense the only times I’ve told her that her pants belong up higher are when she was wearing leggings or tights.
  • If you’re bored there is plenty of stuff that needs done around here!
      • The only time that my kids are not bored is when they are eating or playing with some electronic device.  When I declare that all screen time is being revoked there is suddenly absolutely NOTHING to do in our house.  Even though you can’t see their bedroom floors or the toy room floor and there toys are strewn throughout the house.  Not to mention the millions of toys laying around.  I know I did the same thing.
  • Money doesn’t grow on trees
    • I don’t use these exact words most of the time, but I’m sure I have said them before. I am constantly trying to explain to my kids that everything costs money and that money has to be earned somehow.

Who? What? Why?

WHO am I?

I am Nichole, mom of 3, full time nurse, photo booth operator, Sunday school teacher,  and busy crafter!  My husband is Bob, full time auto detailer (a.k.a. car wash boy) specializing in paintless dent repair, photo booth helper, and Super Dad.

Us

We have 3 monkeys, I mean kids, I assure you they are human, they don’t fling poop usually, although they eat bananas and climb cabinets with ease!  They are Marissa, 8 year old big sister, aspiring doctor/Ballerina/Princess; Ryan, 6 year old Minecraft obsessed goofball with a heart of gold; and Theo, 2 year old with an attitude and a not so innocent smile.

Our Monkeys!

Some days they’re super sweet.

Most days look like this.

WHAT is this all about?

I don’t even know yet! I know it’ll include parenting struggles and joys, tons of funny things my kids say and do, crafts I’m working on, and LOTS of pictures because I LOVE pictures!

In case you are a circus fanatic and the title of this blog misled you, you should know there probably won’t be much about a typical circus, the kind with clowns, elephants, acrobats, etc.  The closest thing we have to a circus act is extra nipples, but that’s a post for a different day.

WHY am I writing this?

I’ve almost completed all the candy crush levels and thought I’d need something else to fill my time.  Just kidding, I have plenty of laundry and other things to fill my time.

So many times someone has said, “You should write a book about all the things they say/do,” after hearing stories about our crazy monkeys!  Writing SOMETHING has been on my mind for the last few months and this seemed like the best place to start.  I really enjoy writing and have been told before I’m pretty good at putting things into words.
I’m glad you’re here!  I hope this blog brings lots of laughter!
